Aurora Borealis

The aurora borealis, often referred to as the northern lights or polar lights,  is a fascinating spectacle, and it has fascinated people for centuries.  With rapid changes in strength and intensity, colour and shape, the northern light spread across the sky creating a spectacular play of colours.  The Aurora borealis is often visible to the north in polar regions, and can be seen in the sky during the winter season from September to April.  Aurora borealis is a physical phenomenon that occurs when the solar wind is stronger than normal, with large electrical discharges that scatter electrically charged particles towards the Earth. The particles are electrons and protons, and these form light when they collide with the gases in the Earth's atmosphere, creating a spectacular play of colors in the sky.

Do you want to experience this amazing natural phenomenon?  Come and see the aurora borealis with your own eyes?
